Pick up some suitable screws, imperial or metric, and the tap that goes with them. 15 minute job to re-tap 6 holes.
Think you're right...most, if not all, open backs have 2 screws.

I use d'Addario flat wounds but change out the wound 3rd. I like a smoother/jazz sound
Simple enough to open them up with a 1/4" drill.
I usually replace the tone pot (if the guitar has one) with a 3 position rotary switch. Prefer a switch over a pot.

But the B3 will work just fine! Yes, the arm is set back but if you're not going to hang onto it all the time, it's no biggie!
Looks fine to me...is the 'mud' switch now the selector switch? Any thought to adding a tone switch/pot?

For me it's thumbnails all the way. The epitome of Gretsch guitars. As much as I like the new Streamliners...the blocks are a turn-off.

Can't see the connections but I can see two caps. So I suspect that it's wired so that one is increasing while the other is decreasing.
This has happened to me in the past. But now-a-days I don't LET it happen. I pick the guitar up every day...even if just for a few minutes...
does it come w/o the Bigsby?
