Default Twang Tones

Having never played a 60's 6120 f hole, I was wondering the what members opinions are on the tone difference between an early Roundup 6130 Solid Body (which I played once many years ago but have really forgotten) vs F hole.

The solidbody Roundup 6130 (chambered interior) is a completely different guitar than a hollowbody 6120, even if both guitars have DeArmond Dynasonic pickups. The neck profiles are different, and the solid vs. hollowbody format makes a big difference as well. I'm not very good at describing tone... but I would suggest they sound different from each other, but still both retain the Gretsch tone.

The archtop will likely be somewhat less focused than the Roundup but even hollow-body Gretsch guitars are very twangy.

Thanks, when you say that "but even hollow body Gretsch guitars are very twangy" do you mean they are less twangy than the solids? in your opinion?
