Default 1966 Mute foam help please

Hi Everyone I'm new,
I am the proud new owner of a really great 1966 Country Gent and I can't believe how good it sounds. I have had a reissue Country Classic and a black George Harrison type Duo-Jet (not new the signature model) and both were lovely guitars, my guitar tech says the build quality of the reissues is far better than the originals but.... they didn't have that 60s throaty sound I always wanted.
Anyway, I found my perfect Gent a couple of weeks ago, with a great neck angle and no binding rot. It's completely original with case but it came with a space bridge not the bar type (the previous owners wife stated it was like this from new) I have just got a new Gretsch gold "Rocking Bar Bridge" part number
0062845000 and I'm hoping this works OK but I am interested in a vintage one if anyone out there can help. The other thing I might do is try and find a 60s Filtertron pickup to replace the Supertron thats in mine, not because I don't like the sound of it, it's great but I would like it to be George Harrison spec. One thing I really need is some black foam mute pads as the original stuff has rotted, any ideas ?

find a thick mouse pad, flip it over (black side up) and cut what you need.

I remember that mute foam as being somewhat dense, I would cut some strips from an INDOOR black hockey puck, (not the hard rubber outdoor style).

They make great 24th scale slot car tyres too btw,

Hi,
I've got a 1967 Chet Atkins Nashville with the mute pad and the foam is more the consistency of a mousepad, so I'd go with tartanphantom's suggestion.
cheers,
Alex

I used the felt hard floor protectors (the thingfs you stick under chairs to stop the scratching up your floor). Worked very well, actually found one that was almost the same size as the originals without having to cut them
