Anyone know how to date/value this New Yorker Archtop?

should be a serial number somwhere, maybe tip of the headstock? or inside one of the f-holes?

it is stamped GRETSCH SUPER STRUCTURE and the number 380 is hand-written in red ink? is 380 the serial no? how old is this thing that the serial number would be hand written? |

That IS the serial number and that makes this New Yorker circa 1948.

really? how does 380 = 1948? any idea on fair market value?

Well... these were introduced after WWII ('47/48 timeframe)... they started the sequential serial numbering at #001. That makes this New Yorker the 380th guitar made... circa 1948.
These sell for $800-1000 in original very good condition.
