Default SERIAL No. INFO on this New Yorker Archtop?

Anyone know how to date/value this New Yorker Archtop?

should be a serial number somwhere, maybe tip of the headstock? or inside one of the f-holes?

it is stamped GRETSCH SUPER STRUCTURE and the number 380 is hand-written in red ink? is 380 the serial no? how old is this thing that the serial number would be hand written?

That IS the serial number and that makes this New Yorker circa 1948.

really? how does 380 = 1948? any idea on fair market value?

Well... these were introduced after WWII ('47/48 timeframe)... they started the sequential serial numbering at #001. That makes this New Yorker the 380th guitar made... circa 1948.

These sell for $800-1000 in original very good condition.
