Default 6119 fretboard radius

Hey all,

I just took a fretboard guage to measure my 1960 6119 and that sucker measured 7.25. I was very suprised to see that. I guess I always thought all gretschs (old and new) were either 9.50 or 12. Anyone else out there with an old single cutaway, single pickup 6119 that has measured their fretboard?

Welcome to GreTscH-Talk!

[But I can't help you with that. - My Rose is a 2002 (12" radius).]

Welcome aboard weaselberry!

Gretsch are notorious for changing their fretboard radiuses more often than their underwear.. it's common to see several different radii on the same model. That said, I've never heard of a 7.25" on a 6119 before...

Welcome weaselberry!
7.25 is Telecaster territory.
