Stereo Falcon?
Does anyone have the schematic for a stereo white Falcon? I am working on the black one that lost its neck. Any info you have would be a big help. The picture suggests that the wiring could be intact, but I haven't received it yet so I don't know for sure. I am thrilled to have the knobs and switches, whether or not they were original or added. I can't find many photos on the 6137--NY's is a single cut.
I don't know much about the mutes either. I am going to stick with black, since it can never quite be what came from the factory. It's almost more of a Phoenix anyway, rising from ashes (or splinters). I am planning on using Filtertrons and chrome parts. I also considered gold or orange nitro, but black already has a precedent.
Also, what is the explanation behind the carbon strip in the neck? I am guessing it would give strength, but I don't know why maple wouldn't be enough.

What's the story behind that thing? What happened to the neck? Did it used to belong to Pete Townsend?
TV Jones might be able to help you with the schematic. Also Neil Young's tech has a gear rental business in the SF Bay Area. His name is Larry Craig and I can't remember the name of his business. I'll post it if it comes to me. He does repairs on old Gretsch guitars IIRC.

In the Gretsch book by Tony Bacon / Paul Day there is a blue print of the Project-O-Sonic stereo wiring system. It is small but on inspection with my trusty magnifying glass has detail by the look of it. I will scan and post it...

Thanks, everyone. And thanks for showing that diagram, FOG. I have enough chops in Photoshop that I may be able to get enough info from it. I have worked on similar models that had little info available (like my Mosrite Celebrity, or Fender Coronado). The research phase is a lot of fun. Right now I wish I knew more about Gretsch pickups.
Paul, I am originally from FC. I googled Larry Craig and got a lot of the wrong info.

F.O.G.: If your 'puter is running windows:
- zoom in on that diagram so that it fills your screen.
- press Ctrl + PrntScrn to capture the screen
- open Paint and press Ctrl + V to paste the screen capture
- store the image as a JPG file
- post it up to this thread

On my 21in monitor @1920x1080, when I hover on the image to make it blow up i can see it perfectly. Photo-shop should work too.

No offence taken; none at all. If anything, I was being presumptious to offer instructions on how to post up a screen capture. I just assumed that was a faux woodgrain monitor. D'oh! indeed. Insomnia is a *****. I need sleep.
