Another gretschified tele build!
So I got a set of Tv jones, a classic neck and powertron bridge, and decided to build a tele around them! I also made it 24.75'' scale, 22 frets. After a bunch of builds, I finally decided to to binding. Fretboard and body! So the Ash body got the black plastic stuff, and I bound the rock maple neck with birdeye fretboard with ebony. I tried bending the ebony for the body, but it proved too difficult. Anyway Im going to start oiling her up tomorrow!!

Hmmm - start with a hollow body Gretsch and put Tele pickups in them?
Another great build to follow!

thanks guys! The first coat of tung oil is on the body and same with gun stock oil for the neck.
Tony they are really starting to pile up now! come check 'em out!
Calvin that is a great idea man, I cant pull off a hollowbody yet though, I think a corvette shape would be cool with tele parts though maybe Ill try that out!

Pretty much done now! Just have to adjust pickup heights a little. Everything turned out really well exept one thing, the glue for the binding must have ran onto the sides of the body in a couple of spots, so the oil couldnt quite penetrate the wood. So I am going to scrape those spots down and try to oil them, if it dosnt work, Ill let this baby go for the price of the parts. She plays beeautifully with the 24.75 scale, and sounds incredible with the TV Jones pups. Actually this guitar is the first time I have heard TV jones pups in person, AMAZING!
Anyways heres some pics and Ill have some final pics in a day or two.

Looks great. If I was in the market for another guitar I'd be interested. As it is the wife gives me too much crap for having 2 guitars and an acoustic bass.

Thanks guys!! This has been a fun build! Ive learned alot trying to get this thing bound. Not an easy task! Pickups are adjusted and sound even better than before. IVe scraped and sanded the spots where the glue seeped over, and will oil it tonight. More pics on couple days!
