Default Need Pic of Gretsch Tone Switch & Capacitors Wired

Anybody got a pic of an actual Gretsch tone switch showing the caps wired up? I can't seem to find a real pic. I can find the of schematics but no actual good pics of the tone switch. I am curious as to how they ground the one side of the caps. If you got a pic or a link for one let me know.

Hope this helps someone someday. I could of used a pic like this. I used the cheap ceramic caps they sounded better than the orange drops that TV Jones sells and puts in his harness. I bought 4 of each, the orange drops may be pretty but for this application these cheap vintage type ceramic caps sounded better more defined treble and bass.

Got the caps from Stewmac they are the cheap ceramics. I think the value is 50 or so on the big one and 10 on the little guy. I bought the 39 & 22 orange sprague from TV Jones and these sound brighter and better to my ears. I would order the item #1290 and #1292 http://www.stewmac.com/shop/Electron...xst=3&xsr=4259

What pots, switches, and wiring do you recommend for a G5120 specifically? Anything else I'm missing for the entire harness?

I found the parts and the cost is roughly $75 shipped. Guess it's better for me to buy from TV Jones instead for $100 shipped. Crazy

I've done it both ways, the TV jonesharness was great quality and very easy but very pricey in my mind and be sure to make sure you order to the right specs for your guitar. The TV jones site was a little confusing as there were some contradictory points but they did respond well to my pointing that out. $75 seems a lot for the parts - where are you ordering?

yeah, they shouldn't be $75.. that's way too high, should come to about $40. Try http://www.allparts.com/.

I will list the prices tomorrow when I have time but checking Stewmac, the 500k solid shaft CTS pots were $5.75 each (x4) and the Switchcraft 3-way switch was $20 from TV (Stewmac doesn't carry).

Why not just use your old switch, or MAKE one out of 2 new switches. its gotta be cheaper than the TV jones/blackrider one.

Hmmm, there has to be an alternative for that switch, $20 for a switch is VERY steep, I'm sure Allparts or maybe Darren Riley carries something, I don't have the time to check right now.
