ok here we go as promised not much but progress none the less
truss rod channel routed truss rod in place
neck starting to take shape bit rough but i did it with a jigsaw as only got a bandsaw in uni
fret board placed for artistic effect

thats it for now if i can get any more done at home you'll be the 1st to know ( i may carve the top just for u johsonrod as i can do some of that now) back in uni 2 weeks monday then its game on

please, make a template for the chambers and route them smooth,
even it is on the inside you will regret it if you don't
nobody will see but you know,
cause you want a pro jet level of work, you must do it

Before you glue the plug strip on top of the truss rod, wrap a layer of teflon plumber's tape, spiralled around the the rod so that the adjacent wraps are next to each other, but don't overlap. Then add a second layer wrapped in the opposite direction. This will provide permanent lubrication to prevent any binding between the rod and the channel. It also allows you to create a snug fit that will not rattle. Glue can't adhere to the tape, so there's no worries about jamming the rod.

thanks for the advice u mean the rubbery tape like you put around taps/washing machine pipes yeah?

not sure i understand u mean tubes around the loom? or tubes like fishtank tubes to get everything in place?

I think he means putting tubes in to act as channels for wires, say a wire goes bust... have fun threading it through one hole and hoping you can reach it at the other - there is alot of routed space for it to travel!
