Default Filtertron vs. Hot Rod Filtertron & will it fit a 5120 Elect

Filtertron, Hilotron, Buckers, Dearmond - this is really confusing for a newbie.

Whats the cosmetic or electronic difference between the filterton and the hot rod version of the filtertron? I am speaking of a real Gretsch pickup, not TV Jones.

The HS "hot rod" ones have a higher output than the regular ones, making them brighter & "louder"..

The HS filters have a higher output - and actually had design and input from tv jones. As for if they'll fit in a 5120 - heck ya! -

I've got HS filters, hi-lo-trons, dearmond 2000's, dearmond dynasonics, and tv jones - and the HS filters are my favourites - second only to the dynas! - and the HS filter equipped 5120 - is the LOUDEST guitar I own

I was unaware that there are hot rod filtertrons. I thought it was HS filtertrons, and tv jones...stock gretsch prolines come with HS, and upgraded versions have tvJ. Filtertrons...
WHat models have hot rod filtertrons?

I believe the High Sensitive are the standard Gretsch filtertrons found in most 6*** series guitars unless equipped with TV Jones pickups. I have seen these "Hot Rod" filtertrons selling on eBay and I understand they are "designed" by TV Jones. They are made overseas and how much TV had to do with them I don't know.
I do know the standard Gretsch filtertrons or "high sensitive " ones that go for around $50 on eBay are my favorite pickups of any I've tried
