If you could have only 4 effects pedals + tuner
If you could have only four effects pedals and a tuner what would you choose?

Easy. Right now my pedalboard has:
Nocturne Dyno Brain
Planet Waves tuner
Bad Monkey OD
Aqua Puss delay
I've got a Box of Rock coming later this week, which I'd swap with the Bad Monkey. That leaves me a spot for a 4th pedal, which I'd leave open until I started to GAS for something, maybe a TIM?

Morley Wah- Either Bad Horsie1/2, or just regular optical wah.
Devi-Ever Rocket Fuzz
Ibanez AD-9 analog delay
Ibanez Airplane Flanger.
I dont use stage tuners, so It would just be some OD/Dist pedal.

Effects Units
Why do so many of you guys have the Nocturne Dyno Brain.
Is it a Gretsch "thing".
P.S I am a recent convert having bought a White Falcon last month.

I mainly only use two effects. A Magicstomp with the excellent Charlie Hall EFTP echo software installed and an Alesis 3630 compressor. On rare occasions I also use a Tuna Melt tremolo and a Boss Heavy Metal distortion pedal.

Because Tv the wired turtle makes them, and while i am not an owner of his pedals (yet), they are built well, and sound fantastic.
of the pedals i own now:
Fulltone OCD
Vox Wah
Big muff pi
Wampler Faux Echo analog delay

That's easy. The four I use now:
Boss SD overdrive
Boss TR-3 Tremolo
MXR Carbon Copy Delay
Boss '63 Reverb
Of course I'm kind of cheating because my old Morley volume pedal has an excellent chorus so if I had to eliminate one to meet the (4) standard I would ditch the Reverb pedal and go back to the amp and turn the reverb up and down as needed. The pedal is on my board mostly out of convenience.

Right now my board consists of Dyno Brain, GFS Tuner (though it just died last weekend), Dano Cool Cat Tremolo, Ibanez DPL10 stereo delay. I also just bought a Zakk Wylde Overdrive from MacStevenXIII that I'm looking forward to trying out.

BYOC Triangle spec Big Muff - '80s RAT - Catalinbread Hyperpak - EH Small Stone
I play a '70s Ampeg VT22 which won't break up until it's loud enough to kill small animals, so I need more variety in the dirt department than I would otherwise. If I had an amp that would give me edge of breakup tone at less than WMD volume I'd probably trade the Hyperpak for a tremolo. I dig the Hyperpak and I'd love to try the Formula 5 in the same application, but I don't actually need it, you know?
