Default Signa drive vs Barber direct drive vs Wampler Pinnacle

Hi!

I am hesitating between these 3 pedals. I play blues/rock/country with a Fender combo and a Strat. Could you please help me choose?

I think the Pinnacle might be too much gain... Any experience with the Signa? I have read the Barber was noisy...

What do you think? Thank you.

Hi,
I've owned the Barber Direct Drive and Signa Drive. You will be very pleased with either. the Barber is very transparent (overused term, but best I can think of). It gets quite a bit of drive if you need it, but the low gain is exceptional too. One of those pedals that sounds right with any guitar amp combo. The Barber LTD is similar with less drive. Built exceptionally well, made in USA & priced right.

The Signa is very organic too. Neat thing about it, is that it has a mini-toggle, which runs the input through 3 different chips. As I remember, one is TubeScreamer-like, one is lower gain but with higher output, and one is high-gain more like hot rodded Marshall sound. Built exceptionally well, made in USA, and again - good price for what you get.

Never heard a Pinnacle.
Best of luck.

I've got a direct drive and like it very much. No experience with the others, sadly. I was using is as a higher gain distortion but now I use it as a booster when I change to my Tenny with HiLo's at gigs.

Thank you all to the information.

I've read that the Barber DD is noisy. What do you think?
