Hey I miss my bastard caster! Can I trade something for it? need a 54 buick?

okay here is the latest video.. I just dont have time between pedals to do anything more extravagant than quicktime stuff..but its pretty straight forward. If I didnt post it right, its on the website or myspace

ps. Jeff, that was a custom jobbie for a local. Took twice as long as
a candy apple would.. I'm happy to make one for you like that. that
look is kind of my forte' with guitars n cars.

I've seen it, I've heard it and now it's on the "gotta have" list just behind the Compton bridge.

Are all of you who've bought one going to post with and without soundbytes so the rest of us can listen and learn?

Tavo I got mine back today. Stoked! I got a chuckle when I saw the inside a bit gooped. I ran in just thru the Ambassador Master wide open Volume 10 to 2:00 working it thru various EQ setting with both the Dynas and the Powertrons. My earlier assumptions were spot on about the dynas! I'm sure you and sunkidd got the same results. I'm impressed to say the least! The surprise of the night was when I plugged into the bass. I was getting low volume popping harmonics like I never did before. This is gonna work!

I made sure NOTHING moves inside that box..as well as shipping it back double boxed! Glad its solid again! Sunkidds 6120western has a classic in the bridge with the Dyna in the neck and middle position is just amazing.
He does have a brass nut and bigsby alum bridge so its got a near Telecaster zing to it but what a full range jangle on that box! I'm so jealous of the bigsby handle on those things. Wish I could find one for cheap!

love hearing about the bass w/ the nocturne.. ! It appearantly works great too with a King double bass and Fenders new bassman 15 bass amp, so my friend Geoff from Hillbilly casino said. Sent me this picture said it was "dope as hell" for that rig(although he usually is sporting a monster amp for upright)..

Yeah he and sunkidd did a video but haven't posted it as of yet. I want to hear that one because it's done with a DSW with a classic in the bridge thru a Vox AC15 Heritage.

I told ya it doesn't disappoint with Dynas! Kind of makes you think that's what you were aiming for all along. At least that's what I would be telling people.

Mark have you ordered one? I was surprised about what it did with my bass. The results with the Dynas are just that. I wish I had something with Classics in it because I can only judge by the Powertrons. I thought I would get a conflict being too strong in the mid section no such luck. It's done pretty much everything I asked of it so far.

If you haven't ordered one yet I'd get to it. TV has been burning fingers left and right so who knows how long it will last!

Good I think you will be really happy you did. The one thing bugging me is I sold that amp to Jukebox and I'm dying to know now! I'm kicking around buying another one to send down to the kid for X-mas. I have to see if I can swing it first.

The test he did on the Deluxe Reverb was astounding. What a sound! I hope that he's able to make this into a permanent biz.

We talked a couple of times about that and I don't think he wants to go there. He will be the first to say he never expected this kind of response. I told him to milk it for what all he can get and I will still say that. There is always a new pedal flavor of the week that comes along. I still swear by my Tim.

What I would love to see is a small builder much like Tavo come out with a reasonable tape delay for say 5 to 6 hundred that would out perform Mike Fuller's and the Roland's and the Echoplexes of the world. That may be a tall order to fulfill but not unreasonable.

When you think about it the small builders that came out of the GDP and here have made a sizeable impact and you have to support things like that.

I don't know if you caught wind of this but you know Josh Bradshaw (JBGretschguy) Every year he goes to Haiti and helps with the people who can't afford any kind of healthcare. He was selling a homebuilt tweed twin he made from scratch no kit. This was to fund this years trip because it's all out of pocket. It was the forums idea to raffle off the amp and fund his trip. Well certain entities squashed that deal as it violates their bylaws so we are trying to work our way around that. Anyhow Josh is one hell of a builder and if he were to do anything like what Tavo has done he would have my full fledged support 100%! He built a Blues Driver that we made a deal on. He combined the Keeley and Allum mods with a bit of his own. He turn a buzzsaw into a very usable working pedal. He built a BJr into a little 6L6 powerhouse. Really I would love to see him come up with something

Thanks for sharing that about Josh, that kind of benevolence is what life should be about and for those of us (speaking for myself) that have been
in the medical field(way out in the field) but cant take it anymore, still want to support anykind of efforts that ease suffering in this world. If I can get caught up on these things(synchro and Josh are now on the list.ya) I would love to have a raffle for a pedal or something.

Also, much appreciation for all the support it as it seems to be word of mouth in this trade to making it. ya... business working in
the USA makes my heart beat proud. Now if I can somehow figure out
HOW to make it work..ha.. I hope Gretsch takes an interest!

btw.. speaking of american collaboration business;
Valvetrain amps "concorde" is an example of that. 50 american businesses in that product's food chain!

Got mine wired into the board. Still playing around with order. Tried it first in the chain, but like it better so far where it is. I think it fits in pretty nicely.

that Lime Time was a cool color, dont know why only a few were into it.
I might experiment with a big metal flake on that color, that might have some
more flair?

Had a slip up in the tint on a Candy Orange as it got amber tint in the clear turning the Candy orange into a copper sunburst color.
Its a one off and no plans for more of this sort of 120th annie copper mist
look. If you've got an annie with that color on the back, this is kind of close
and the gold is very "ambered" so its a nice match for that model gretsch..

Just got back from doind a show with the nocturne. I was playing acoustic rhythm so I put it in the lead players line. I got to listen with out worring about what I was playing. kind of neat way to try something. "here keep playing while I fool with the knobs"

I play for Sean Mencher, from High Noon, Ronnie Dawson, Wayne the Train, Hank 3, more and solo. now he is a real traditional guy, don't like nothin but delay! and have to say one heck of a player!

I fooled with the knobs for about 2 min and found 2 or 3 sweet spots right away. using a knotty pine and a blues jr n.o.s. the tone was nothing short of amazing. makes really good great. clean but just fixin to breakup tone, single notes just jumping out and a fantastic growl when dug in.

you know how good it is when you turn it off...hey, where did that goodness go? how did it get so empty?

with the dynas doing thumbpickin' rockabilly and western swing was just fantastic. then with a tele sounded like Jimmy Rivers!

He asked Me if I minded bringing it all the time until he can get one.

after 3 sets standing next to it I have to say its a real keeper. It does not give you a different cake, it gives you a better cake with icing and candles cause its your birthday.

I had a chance to play with it last night under quiet conditions and not for a long time but wow, this pedal is awesome. Not as gainey as I thought it would be but the rockabilly sound is right there for the world to hear and it goes SO well with delay. In the manual tavo says I should plug it into an analog delay and now I'm sorely tempted to pick up a carbon copy.
