Default Billy Gibbons Told Me a Secret

One fateful day in Hollywood, Billy Gibbons told me a secret. Check out my blog "Guitars, Cadillacs, etc" www.gcetc.blogspot.com for all the juicy details.

Great blog entry, dobro. Neat little tidbit, always nice to learn bits of insight like that. Of course, Billy being Billy, who knows if it's true? LOL

Good one! "Interview Billy" is nothing like the Real-Life Billy. I'm confident he puts on an act for journalists. He's just so nice.

Welcome?

The question mark is retaliation for assaulting my senses with the mental image of Marlo Thomas with hairy legs.

I need brain bleach!

Would a shark still bite, if he knew there was a hook? Probably, if he knew the hook was small enough...

Well, I've never heard him claim it as his own idea... Fact remains string angle to the bridge will effect the amount of downward force(K) on the bridge and consequently effect feel and sustain.

All this is, and I hate to use the term, "scientificly proven".
See the measurements done by Helmuth Lemme. Numbers have been confirmed to me personally by the guy doing these kind of measurements for Gibson.
Now I'm not in the habit of keeping trifle science facts nor links on my puter and can't be arsed to look'm up since I'm on steampowered dialup. Compris compadre?

I don't get the secret... it's been known he wraps around the tailpiece for years, all PRS are set up that way, Bonamassa has been wrapping his LPs forever... am I missing something?

My brother in-law manages the Sherman Oakes GC and has run in Billy a few times, says he's a pretty cool cat... Billy even told him "I like the way you play, man!" Then my brother in-law had to go do a pants check
