I have T-Armond soapbars in my Fender JA90. Very lovely!
Good luck with this project. Looking forward to seeing the final results. I'd suggest putting a Mark Rutter bridge on it, that's where all the tone is....

Lot of routing is needed, ohohoy!
The pickups I'll use are DeArmond 2Ks, like on Fender Telesonic, but I think I'll route it Dynasonics-ready too, since I'm inhaling mahogany dust anyway.
Morlock, Mark's bridges I have are all made with vintage Tele spacing, almost 54 mm, they won't work with 50 mm spaced pickups.
These Schallers are only hardtail bridges with space control, they can cover spacings from 59 to 47 mm.
They are top loaded, but since the original Telesonic came with wraparound bridge...

I'm lovin it but I want you to make your own bridge from a hot stamped steel tele plate, its not hard. if you can route that body you can make your own bridge. I beeeeeeg you not to use that schaller thing, the guitar is tooo cool for you to go METAL!!

T, I know what you mean, I haven't drill it for the bridge yet, I'm not happy with the Schallers estetics either...
I have Rutters half bridges and many others, but the problem is the less than 2" (1 31/32" actually/ 50 mm) spacing on 2Ks.
Mark's bridges are the work of art, I can't figure out how to slot the saddles to narrow the spacing from 2 1/8" (54 mm) to under 2" without coliding with the screws.
I may go for 2 1/16" (52 mm) just to make it TV Jones ready.
Maybe I'll order a new bridge from Mark, with the right spacing, it will save me from a steel dust inhaling

Alright, I'll try Hipshot, 52 mm spacing, 1 mm here, 1 there, who cares)
The body?
Check this out, the guy's name is Matt Brommerich)
He made me some nice custom bodies, mahogany, ash, walnut, this one was routed for P90s actually, 1 piece mahogany.
I like his work. He sells on ebay too, i think it's 'mattswoodworking', but I'll send you his email.
Couldn't you have got a set of those old 60s' style steel threaded style Tele saddles and fitted a cut down Tele bridge plate? I find that they allow a bit of width adjustment. Of course they would leave you with the old Tele three piece bridge intonation problems, (but they do look cool).

Henry, '60s tele bridge spacing is 2 1/8" you can't narrow it down to 2". I have Mark Rutters half bridges with that spacing, no chance to narrow the spacing without redoing everything.
I'm staying with the 6 saddles Hipshot style hardtail.
