Default The Greenies are gone - Studio content

Don't want to put down anyones taste in tuners but I just couldn't live with those vintage greenies any longer. Watcha think?

BEFORE

AFTER

I also figured out what to do with the left over screw holes. Used a small ice pick to widen the holes just enough to clear the tuners and used the left over screws from the vintage set. Clipped off about 2/3 of the length of the screws so that they seated as flush as possible. No touch up needed. Still not sure about the truss rod cover. It doesn't seem to be as yellow as the tuners but I'm thinking the brass will age to match. Opinions?

Hmmmm. I had always thought those vintage tuners looked awesome, but your new tuners bring the classy sexiness! And the TRC looks really good! I should make a copper truss cover for my 5120...

Thank you. I think the vintage tuners look just fine on most LP's. If mine would have been almost any other color I think I would have been happy enough with them. However mine is the wine red and there was just something about wine red and green that didn't strike my fancy.

I have 3 guitars with snot-green tuning pegs (2 Gibsons and a PRS) and I do like them, but I agree your new tuners look much better with your red axe.
