NGD: '52 Telecaster
I just got my dream telecaster today! Had to sell a few things to get it, but I'm so excited. More so, I can't wait to see this beauty age! I know it's not a Gretchen, but a great guitar is a great guitar.

Congrats! I had the same guitar, but it had a mini hum bucker in the neck, they called it the 52 reissue hotrod. Don't know if your into the stones or not, but it nailed Keef's open G riffs to a t. I traded it for a gretsch, as much as it was a great guitar, sound wise and looks, i couldnt get used to the tele neck. For a strat guy, it was too big. But most normal people don't suffer from that, so WOOOWHOOOO! Is this why you were selling off all your other stuff?

This is why I was selling other stuff. I actually had a strategy for two weeks and ended up taking it back. Didn't feel good to me.

Congrats! It's my favorite Tele - I wish they'd make a strat with a similar neck. Closest I've ever found is the Jimmie Vaughan Signature Strat with the soft V neck. The '72 RI Stratocaster as a U neck but it's much more shallow than the '52 RI Tele's neck.

You could always just order a different neck from Warmoth. They're great necks, and you could get exactly what you're looking for. I love the U neck.

I'm a little perturbed as I think it's been modded. Sounds good, but not what I bought. Going to take it in and see what's going on.
