NGD-Another Martin!
Got one of these new Performing Artist Series, a GPCPA1. What a cool guitar! Very versatile with 9 mic. images that can be tweaked and with the bridge PUP mixed/added in more tones. Really cool. This is my 3rd Martin. My first was a D-12-35 my Dad bought me in 1970 and a HD-35 I bought a couple of month's ago. This Grand Performance size is just perfect. It gets the whole range from a Dred. thru a Concert size guitar. The guitar just has some neat appointments like the D-45 style logo and the wood binding all around. The F1 Fishman Aura is the ticket.

Thanks Sandy. I wanted an acoustic to play more fingerstyle. I put the Custom Light Martin FX strings on, and they respond fantastically. A little trick I learned from Tommy Emanuel.

Oooh that's handsome - is that the model reviewed in this month's Guitarist magazine? They liked it a lot.
Nice find, enjoy your new picking pal!

Yeah, the wood binding is Ovangkol. It's all over where Martin usually uses Boltaron (white stuff). The Ovangkol is on the along the edges of the neck and body and the 2 piece seam on the back. It really makes the guitar appear more natural.
