Love my Supro!
Bridge pickup+tone control off= slide tone of the gods
BTW...those are single coils hidden under those big covers.
This thing cost more than a Les Paul when it was new.
No wonder there aren't many of them!

It's in good shape.
But the finish seems to be shrinking.
It's a weird, thick finish.
Like a toilet seat.

I see,
the dual tone is made of wood, right?
mine is a cheap res-o-glass hollow body guitar, that's why I love it.

Yeah...I'm pretty sure it's wood.
It's not res-o-glass.
But every surface, rout, hole, etc is painted, so I have no idea what kind of wood.
Could be composite for all I know.
The only modification I did came when I realized that of the measley 2 screws holding the neck to the body, one was a tilt adjuster and the neck is held on with ONE SCREW.
I can't remember exactly what I did, but at least there are 2 screws holding the neck on now.

for all I know, every model they ever made got three screws, two holding the neck and the other to adjust the slant, if you got rid of the middle one, how do you adjust the neck now?
soon I'll post some picture, my Supro just got a new shimmering fretboard!

As many times as I count, I still come up with 2.
I would have shimmed the neck to get the proper angle, but it didn't need it.
It sits right in the pocket.

that's not modified, it came like that, with two screws?
I guess I was wrong about the three thing.

It is what it be.
I've seen several Dual-Tones and they're all like that.
One screw and a tilt adjust.
Even with 2 screws holding it together, it's not particularly stable in the tuning department.
A guitar born to be relegated to slide if there ever was one.
I wonder how Link kept it in tune!

ahah
mine stays in tune very well,
I make sure to keep the neck steady and well tight to the body of the guitar, I know it might get boring but I always tighten the neck screws before to start playing, just a notch!

here it is,
new fretboard, new neck paint, new pickup ring,
the intonation is perfect now, easy to play, just lovely...
250 euro for the job from a really good guy, worth every penny!

I like that it matches your bed spread. Good that you considered the whole interior design concept. Very feng shui.
Oh and cool guitar.

Sweeeeeeeeet! Maybe it ended out in Pottstown. That's where mine is.
While we're on "other" guitars....
As bad as this one looks, that's how good it sounds!
