Default HI from Oz.

Hi all,
Peter from central coast, NSW here. I have just joined the forum because for my 50th birthday my wife gave me firstly a new Maton 12 string, which I was expecting, but also a new 5120 sunburst!
I received the Maton early, in time to play a gig at the local club and then last week I was given the Gretsch. I have just finished setting it up and am really starting to love the feel of it. Time to start seeing what tones I can coax out of it, a lot of fun to be had for sure.
I also have a Cort 6 string semi-acoustic, an Epiphone Les Paul custom(black), and a Fender Mex fat strat delux.(sunburst with black accessories).
The strat has 2 single coils and a humbucker at the bridge, nice wide neck and a great fat 70's sound.
I will try to get some pics up soon (I know we all love pics of guitars!) and hopefully join in a few discussions along the way. Seems like a great forum so looking forward to being a part of it.

Peter

Yep, very lucky. If I'd known turning 50 would be so rewarding I would have done it years ago!
(Also received a Boss rs-3 loop station from the kids, great pedal!)

Welcome from this Sydneysider.
Hope you enjoy the forum - I know you'll enjoy your new guitars. That Maton 12-string has my mouth watering. I do love 12-string guitars and I do love Matons - Maybe if I sell off four or five of my old bangers, I'd be able to put deposit down on one of those beauties.

Hey Victor, better buy all the Gretsch's you want first! It's much less complicated.

Greetings from west London. Man send us over some sunshine, it is still winter here. At least I can sit in and play my guitars.

Hi Peng,
I grew up in Warrawee, just near you. I know that part of Sydney well, my sister still lives in Hornsby.
