Greetings from Singapore
Hi everyone,
great to be here! My name is Jens, I´m German, but living in Singapore with my family. As a guitarplayer, I´m as new to it as to this forum, more or less, started playing guitar when I was 10, but never really managed to learn it, the guitar I had at that time was a country guitar, steel strings, string action super high, was simply too difficult to play. So, I never practiced, never got anwhere.
Last year, I decided to start all over again, got a brand new Takamine accoustic, nothing but fun! It´s getting better day by day, but will still take a while to reach a certain level - anyway, I´m enjoying it.
Ok, now the reason why I´m here: couldn´t help to buy a used Gretsch in Tokyo, a friend took me to a shop and as I´ve fallen in love with the 6122-Country Gentlemen ever since, I bought a used Country Classic II from 1999 - pictures below, price was quite fair. It came with the case, some of the locks are broken though (can I get some new ones anywhere???). I was trying to get some information about it, but somehow I got lost in all theses variations of this guitar...so if anybody knows something about it or lets me know if I made a completely wrong move, I´m more than thankful for any information.
