Hello everyone!
Hello there, my name is Johnny, I've loved Gretsch guitars for a while now, I have had a few, right now I play a Chet Atkins 6120, and a 5120 Electromatic fitted with TvJones classics (plus in the bridge pos) and run em' through either a Gretsch (Victoria amps) Executive or my Fender Blues Jr. Usually along with a boss (Roland) Space Echo pedal, using from time to time a Voodoo labs sparkle drive pedal, a TS9 Tubescreamer, a Boss Equalizer (for clean boost) w/ a Korg Pitch Black tuner and a Danelectro Tremolo pedal (w/ the Blues Jr. as the Exec has tremolo already, sweet tremolo too!). I play mostly Blues, Jump Blues, Rockabilly, Twangy almost country style kinda stuff. I just love these Gretsch guitars, they are like the perfect cross between a fender, single coil twangy pick up and a nice fat Gibson humbucker or P90, they have tons o' twang, play nice and fast like a Gibson, yet you can dig in on em' like a Fender strat or tele, they're just perfect for me. Anyways, didn't mean to go on and on, just saying hi to everyone out there in Gretsch-guitar geek-land. I am definitely a guitar geek, along with Deke Dickerson and I'm sure many of you as well!
