I have been watching the forum for awhile, and it is time to introduce myself. I live in Germantown, TN, a suburb of Memphis. Just a hobbyist, I got back into guitars when buying my son his first one in 1995. Three years later GAS began to set in. Now age, kids out of college, and a good professional situation have allowed me to touch and sometimes own some of these instruments I have been reading about and studying for over 15 years.
Yesterday I sold my Smoke Green Anniversary on Ebay and picked up a HOF Country Gentleman. I have been wanting a Country Gent for a very long time. I cannot do it justice, but I am happy it is in the family nevertheless. I understand I am obligated to provide pictures, so I have a couple below of the HOF along with a few of his stablemates.
I will miss the Annie, but I am confident the new owner will enjoy her.
I enjoy the Forum; I have learned a lot reading. I have learned a lot shopping in the Nashville / Memphis area the last few years, so feel free to call on me if anyone would like an opinion about shops in this area.
BTW, I purchased my HOF at a local shop, Memphis Music; I got a good deal, and just to show how much I know -- a month ago I wasn't aware they were carrying Gretsch.
