Default It's Almost Here!

Yes the Northwoods Jam is only another couple of months. We are hoping to see and meet any and all new members. If you haven't been to any of the Gretsch jams, they are a blast. We are mixing it with a car show this year. This should be a blast. You will finally get to meet guys like Bobkat, Repent, Pappatwang, Bobby Riveria, Ishtar, Salty, Jeff, JeffO, workknot, Wpjazzman, and many others. Jam during the day and live shows at nigh. If you need more info, drop me a PM. Hope to see you all there.

Really wish I could be there plus it would be cool to drive my 54 buick up too but something about a car that is 2" off the pavement sez I'd have obstacles.

We will be there for sure and I will proably bring along a supply of bridges. I also have a few items for the swap meet and that should be fun.

Dan, I think Juke means Salty Dog, not Salty the dog.

Salty is not really happy with the "no dog" stipulation, but c'est la vie.... or just say "lovie."

Oh, and wha cha been smokin', making any reference to talent with my name attached? Or were you talking about Salty?....

It's been raining the last three days here. The snow is just about gone and the rhubarb is starting to come up. Jelly is around the corner!
And Yes, I was talking about Salty the person and not the dog. Please tell salty the dog that I am sorry he cannot attend this year.

It is thawing, and it is raining, and the river is going to be at flood stage soon.

The cities of Fargo and Moorhead have been making sandbags since March 1st.

Where is this held and when? Sounds cool. Maybe I could drive my '41 Willys out if I get it together in time. (With my Phony Gretsch and my Gal by my side!)

You could also enter the Willeys in the car show that we are having with it! You can go to the forum and look up Northwoods jam, all the info is there. Hope you show up!

We could also use some players for the Blues/ jazz stage!

Looks like I have a deadline! My Willys is a '41 pickup built like a gasser. Nose high, slicks sticking out the back, fenderwell headers, and flat black with a moon tank for a grill. Unfortunately it's in pieces right now but with warmer weather creeping in, I can get out and work on it again.

WOW! We might have to have a vendor's jam also! All four of the food vendors are all musicians also. One of the guys is a pedal steel player, another a bass and the last two are guitar players, how cool is that?

We could use a couple of blues/Jazz players on blues/jazz bands if anyone is coming and would like to perform.

For you guys that are playing the main shows and have Cd's don't forget them this year! I will have a table set aside for you guys to sell them.

There is also going to be a musical instrument swap meet. if you have things to sell or trade. we will be renting a table for $25.00. This price is for the whole weekend .

If there is any Flat-pickers that are coming and would like to do a work shop, let me know.

Remember this is to help raise money for under privilege schools and kids with musical instruments.

There is an open bluegrass jam I occasionally attend. Average count of instruments: Guitars, 10; Mandolins, 2; Fiddles, 2*; Banjos, 2*; Dobro, 1.

*me. I take both fiddle and banjo, depending on the song.

And only one person singing, usually. So, load up on the guitar players!
