People you just expect to be there all the time, are all of sudden gone legends as well as on a personal level your own near and dear family and friends. Everyday is a blessing appreciate those you have while they are here. Doc Watson Rest in Peace and God's Speed to you.

Rest In Peace Doc!

Life will feel a bit more empty knowing Doc is no longer with us.
It's going to be some time before I will be able to listen to his music without feeling a deep sadness.

Earl Scruggs, Doc Watson, Ricky Skaggs singing, Who will sing for me.

I live on a mountain overlooking Deep Gap where Doc lived. It's a small, humble cabin where a giant, humble heart lived. It's foggy and rainy here tonight. I'm listening to his music and watching the fog roll over the ridge into Deep Gap. Black Mountain sing.

Doc was like one of the comfort foods of music to me. No mater how exotic or experimental my taste wondered, there was always the comfort of his deeply rooted music to come back to.

Wow, may God rest his soul. He lived a pretty long life, and lived as a good man and a great guitarist.

A simple - yet such a powerful - tribute to a giant amongst the music. RIP Doc
