Default They're....Here.....

Guess What! Gretsch/FMIC have updated their website and the Roots Collection is now included! There are all the specs, old original advertisments but must importantly Mike Lewis getting into a bluegrass jam on a Bobcat Roundneck! Check out the new lineup and especially the really, really cool demo videos here:

I am seriously impressed with the Broadkaster 9400 & 9410 5-string banjos as is my flatmate. He's got an Epiphone MB-250 which is almost equivalent in specs to the 9410. However, it's got a plywood rin whereas the 9410 has a mahogany rim. The stink thing is that the MB-250 is the same retail price as the 9400!! No wonder Gibson/Epiphone dropped them - too scared of the new Gretsch Roots Collection!

A Gretsch resonator. That sounds orgasmic.

The Boxcar made it to Europe. http://www.thomann.de/nl/gretsch_g92..._roundneck.htm
€345... not bad, but I'm looking for the Honeydipper.

Compared to it's competitor, the Epiphone/Dobro Hound Dog those Gretsch "Ampli-Sonic" resonator guitars definitely are! The Hound Dog sounds "thin" and "cheap".
