First picture with Gretsch
Well my wife took this, I dabble in photography and I would have played with it but she has a good eye if she would just shut her flash off for some pictures, but you can see that I do like my new guitar.
What amazes me is that over 3/4 of all of the electrics I have ever owned were Gibsons. One Tele, one Rickenbacker, one of this or that. I do not like most new gibsons, this gretsch is just great for tone, feel, weight.

Thanks you all...you know I did get a PRS SE 245 recently and will sell it because it is a solid body and I think for me Hollow is the sound I really like, although I did play a Chinese Duo the other day and was pleasantly surprised. This guitar is great and it came in set up perfectly.. I am not used to a floating bridge, I will consider pinning it at some point but only if I have to. I am not a basher on my guitars so I would think I will not need to.
Thanks again

Fantastic, what a beauty (the guitar) and you look pretty darn happy yourself. Isn't that Double Green Anni everything we told you she was?
Amazing guitars! I'm going to go play mine right now.

I have a few more pics but it is so hard to get the colors right. I shot in RAW and still had trouble but at least one has the colors...and BTW, thanks Rocky

I will tell my wife, she will smile, and thank you and thank all of you. A nice club to be in. You know, hard to believe how long it took me to join I have not picked up an acoustic for more than a few minutes since getting this. Playing way to many Beatles song, wait, I can never play too many Beatles songs

Yes it is. It is a nice one to shoot even if hard to get the colors right. I will wait for an overcast day to do again, but I hope it is soon. This will probably have to wait in it's case for a bit after 8/8, but I know it is there for me. This and the Fender Ltd. Edition Deluxe Reverb are a great combination.

Thanks Arf, just took the paper off of the bigsby and put on my fender strap. I tried a couple, and I returned now 2 levys, the suede being too stiff and the leather one that just came (at $54) being much too think and less comfortable than the inexpensive fender that I got on Amazon.
Thanks again

Kept

I really wanted this but they do not answer their phone or reply to email so I wonder if the info on the webpage is incorrect, but be that as it may, can't deal with a company that does not let you know they are in business.
I just wanted the plain Green with Brown leather

I use a Levy strap similar to the one you kept. 2 1/2" plain black leather, not too thick. It's very plain but very adequate to support the weight of the guitar and it looks nice. I have to use Levy straps as the Levy family are friends and would kill me if I used anything else.

I think the Fender strap is made by Levy as it is a Canadian product...it was under $12 so goo for me. Oh, you had to change your avatar to make me drool, nice. If I buy another at some point, maybe a duojet, I shall see, or a Tenn Rose with hi-lo's...this is a lot of fun.

How do you like that Special Edition Deluxe Reverb? I've got serious GAS for one, how does it compare to the normal model?

Should I change my avatar over to my Jets or my Anni with the HiLo's?
It's going to be hard to inspire to more Gretsch's after you Anni purchase. Nothing like starting at the top!
