Default Silver Falcon Logo differences

I have seen two different 'Gretsch' logos on the Silver Falcon TSL. One has the word Gretsch across the head and the other runs down between the tuners. See piccy. This one is not shown on the Gretsch web site and most I have seen have it across the top.

What is the difference? This may be my next buy so I need to know why the difference.

Here is the other style, note the inlays in the fretboard and the logo in the headstock are different.

I think the one with the vertical logo between the tuners is the earlier model so I don't know what other differences there are compared with the one with the horizontal logo.

I like the one in my first post, but it does depend on the specs, if they are different to the current one in my second post. I am new to Gretsch so I am hoping some of the more 'seasoned' members will be able to throw some light on this.

Not sure if the construction is any different such as the bracing. The inlays in the fretboard are different as well.

I had this one, someone else on here has it now, it's a 2003 with standard filtertrons, and soundpost bracing. It had small pots and although had a bigsby fitted, there was the ghost impression of a caddy tail, with the holes.
I'd like to see one with a v cut bigsby, vertical logo, thumbnail inlays, just like the Setzer Phoenix but with the extra switch and knobs.
Sounded great though, unplugged twas very resonant, only problem was the high E would pop off the bridge when finger picking Chet style. didn't seem to be enough tension across the bridge.
Didn't like the grovers either, felt cheap.

I've never played a newer Falcon than that, i'm not keen on the lack of wings, normal logo and anniversary style plate on the newer ones, but that doesn't affect anything more than aesthetics.

I spoke with the shop who had the picture in my first post on their web site and they checked what they had in stock - it was not that one. It is an old picture, so they have to update their web site. Oh well.
