Ngd! - g460
New Guitar Day! This G460 arrived today all the way from Norway, thanks to forum member 6stings. Darko and I had both been on the trail of one of these quirky guitars since we both missed out on one last year when the seller would not allow bids outside USA. He managed to find not just another one, but 2 of them. Thankfully he has sold this one to me. We cats-eye lovers like to help each other whenever we can. This is a very unusual Gretsch, thinline semi-acoustic Jet-size body, single cats-eye soundhole, piezo pickup, flattop –type saddle bridge. Thank you Darko, next Grappa is on me!

Gibson had something similar a while ago(without the soundhole), but I think THIS is way beyond the sex'o'meter. Congrats!

I have some tubes with Au's guitar, but it will probably sound much better Down Under

It certainly does sound nice. It has an almost acoustic guitar sound. I think I will experimernt with some bronze strings and adjustments to the active tone circuit this weekend. Alas I am not set up to do recordings and I have severe noise restraint problems with the neighbours. I will have to sort this out soon and get some recording software/hardware and a location organised. I know a soundclip is worth 1,000 words of hyperbole/subjective opinions!!
Darko, do you have a soundclip you can post so the curious can get an idea of how this guitar sounds?
So far I have resisted all the bad twin sister jokes and some possibly true personal stories!
