Hello all!
So for the past couple months I have been putting together what has become my favorite guitar project to date. We played our first show in North Atlanta (Buckhead for locals) this past weekend and it went REALLY well. The project is called "The VaudeVillains" and we are a dixie jazz guitar duo. For those of you who know me on here, you know I'm a huge Chet Atkins fan (I know, shocker), and I got together with another session player here in Atlanta who is a jazz guitar graduate from the Atlanta Institute of Music. The sound that we have together with my fingerstyle and his jazz comping and the two of us soloing back and forth is something I am really excited about. So, here you go! This is an original song called "Picking With the Preacher" playing in the background of our still not finished website:

My guitar (the fingerstyle) is a 2007 Gretsch G6120 Chet Atkins and the amp is a Tone King Imperial. Kris (the jazzer) is playing an Ibanez Artcore through a Fender Deluxe Reverb Reissue. My solo is the first and third, Kris' is the second and fourth. I LOOVE my tone on this recording.
This is a project that I am loving, and it's a great release for personal expression and creativity that you can't really get from session work (not in the same way at least).
