New Gretsch for my birthday!!
Last year I had to sell my beloved G6120-1959LTV.... I still regret it terribly! Last week for my 33rd, my wife surprised me with a brand new Brian Setzer 6120-SSLVO!! Right out of the box it plays amazing. I can feel the slight differences in radius and the tun-o-matic gives a bit less sustain IMO, but I think it's the nicest feeling Gretsch I ever played! What a present! Oh... Then to my ULTIMATE surprise, she is taking me to L.A. to see the BSO at the Hollywood Bowl in September! It's a Brian Setzer/Gretsch birthday!

Wives are great. Mine got me a Black Phoenix a few years back, and a Strymon El Cap (which I melted, and bought another). It's been socks ever since though.....

I'm definitely the lucky one! A great wife (or husband) is the true gift! We just finished jamming (she plays drums) the Nashville sounds so great!!

Man! You struck gold, Stang. I was married for the duration of a cup of coffee years ago and her "gift" to me was to try to talk me out of showbiz because I was headlining in Vegas within a month of moving there. What a shock that it didn’t last.
