Default Green options

My 3140 should be here tomorrow. But, it's orange. So, if I want a green hollow body gretsch how many options do I have? Country club, 6118 ( I think).

Also what does the bigsby add. Other than cool. Does the mass add highs or lows? The 3140 has the g cut out tailpiece and the believe so does the 6118.

I have my single coil tele, soon will have the 3140. I'm not wanting an overlap guitar. But something with filters/tv jones in it.

Kirk

Green is my colour! You have the Country Club, Double Green Anni and now, the new Electromatic 5420, although we've only seen pictures of it.

The bigsby adds a little more sustain but it really isn't a tone changer. I just can't play without one,,,I use it all the time!

the bigbsy doesn't change much when playing

Yup ampe is right! I took the caddy G tailpiece off my Falcon and replaced it with the appropriate Bigsby and everything was the same except now and can play all the Rockabilly and surf songs I love.

I love bigsbies. Like bobkat, I replaced my G-cadillac tailpiece on my White Penguin with a B3G. Bigsby and Gretsch go hand in hand. I honestly thought it sounded better with the bigsby than the tailpiece. My guitar instructor hates bigsbies for some reason though. He says they suck out tone. He's crazy.

A bigsby on a gretsch is what fake boobs are on a stripper. They just go together, hand in hand.

Well, let's see. A Gretsch without a Bigsby is like a day without sunshine, pancakes with no syrup or Florida orange juice without Anita Bryant. The Bigsby is a versatile tool that can be used in different ways and styles and I wouldn't even contemplate a Gretsch without one and contrary to popular belief, with a little TLC, they won't put your guitar out of tune.

The Double Green Anni is my very favourite Gretsch guitar, period. Sounds great, plays great. Highly recommended.
