Default does a T Rose rockabilly like a 6120 with tvj

The two models seem different animals but can you get Duane from ether one?
Does Brian really need to use a 6120 59 or could a T Rose fill in.
I have played some very good feeling T.R. and all Brian's models and can get
close no matter which i play .. is it the bigger hollow body that really gets the sound and is it only that 2.5 or 2.75 inches that makes it happen . what do you all feel ..

TeK,

Brians Hotrods are only 2.5 vs the sig model 2.75 and his phoenix model is a strat scale so I think you're all good! Its gonna be more about his entire rig than just the guitar..
Plus he has all the frets changed out in his guitars to stainless steel 6105 dunlop and this brightens up the sound more than stock.

and he plays vintage duo jets with dynas! his last
full album (not talkin about the short instro album but rather Lonely Ave ) wasnt even a blonde fender amp. it was a Supro Thunderbolt and magnatone.

Of course everything Tavo says is spot on.

To my ears, the Setzer sound includes a lot of upper low-end and lower-midrange that creates an articulate/bright bottom end. I feel like I get his sound pretty consistently with my Tenny when I want it. I have a 6G2-based amp that is voiced perfectly for it and to improve the upper end (when I want it), I use a parametric EQ and low capacitance cables.

The point is, I don't necessarily want to completely imitate his tone, I want my own. But I really like it as a major starting point.
