Stare at it for longer than five minutes and you will become epileptic or have an ophtalmic migraine.

I like the look of those but opted for a Caddy Green instead. Maybe one of the green Pearls would have satisfied both. No Dynas on this one though.

I actually drove an hour and a half today to go to a store known for carrying Jets. Cool ones, like the one posted above. When I got there, looked around a bit, and was very excited to actually play my first Jet. If only Tara was there. So, after looking around, i found a silver sparkle, with Dynas, which i fancied. So, I ask the guy if he could get one down, there up about 50 feet in the air, so I could try it. And he said, "We don't let people play these proline gretsch's unless we think they are going to buy them." " We wouldn't want to let you play it, and you scratch it up, then the next guy that actually wants it will be bummed". I am not making this up. So, as you can guess, I am still a Jet virgin. One thing I can say for Sam Ash and Guitar Centers, is that when I ask to play the 8000dollar les paul, they hurry up the ladder and get it. Now if they can only stock some Jets. ANyway, back to the topic at hand, a cool GREEN jet, that tends to send some into siesures.

Go to the Gretsch site here:

I've not seen these in person though, maybe one of them got jealous of the other guitars that were being purchased!

Stevo, I have my son's Pearl Blue right here! It's 10 x better looking 'live', you can describe it as a Blue-Silver.
I sent an email to Hiroaki about the guitar. Why would Ishibashi mess up with the pictures? I wonder is this one was one of the Ishibashi's surprises, they had a couple specials before. Remember the Silver Sparkle Penquin?

Freddy, a Jet Virgin with a Virgin Jet - hm, not good!
You should look for a Road Worn!

Duuuuuude, which store?
Matt at Action laid anything out and said, try it all!
And if you wanna try a Sparkle Jet, almost like that one just drop me a line. It's sittin downstairs as I get ready for work now! I was slamming it through some dirty signal last night with a buddy!
And that green Sparkle Jet would be a perfect match for my Blue Sparkle Jet!!!! If I could get one for a decent price, I might be tempted to buy two so similarly appointed guitars!!!

I just might take you up on that. I didn't want to name the store, as I don't feel its apprpriate to do in this forum. But it was not the one you mentioned. I will try them out one day. I almost got my band together for my August benefit, and after that, i will be free to jam and meet others. I look forward to it.

Only thing I can come up with is "bad camera" and lack of skill in image manipulation. Sometimes, certain lighting will cause these color shifts and if the person submitting the image doesn't know how to fix it...
Or maybe someone put the guitar in a cloud of chlorine and caused this change...

Gruhn's in Nashville is kind of like that too. They'll let you play anything in the store, but they're very cautious and don't want you coming in just to "try things out". Reminds me of the guitar store I went to in Florida - the manager wouldn't let you turn amps up beyond 1. Geez - what can I do with that?

If you are a known session player in Nashville Gruhns treats you like royalty and will kiss your butt. If you are regular guy and just walk in you are treated like a nobody unless you pull $5,000 out of your pocket and show it to them. Their staff is using profiling Morons, some of my biggest cash sales have come from people who don't look like they have 2 nickels to rub together. We are talking over 100K+ cash sales here from some folks who look they live under a bridge.

When I was a teen, and walked into music stores, I always got that treatment, unless you stapled 100 dollar bills to your forehead, they didn't take you seriously. In hindsight, after seeing what teens do in guitar center and such, I don't blame the sales people back then. I am no longer a teen, I do not have breath of whiskey and shaky hands, so what the deal?
