Default Another Power Jet wiring question

I have read through and even participated in some of the many threads about Power Jet high end loss and wiring issues. I want to experiment with disconnecting the master volume and going with just the 2 individual pickup volumes.
My PJ is sitting on my bench, soldering iron is hot-how do I disconnect the master and keep everything else as-is?

Your master volume pot will have three lugs. The one on the far right will be soldered to the back of the pot. Simply take the other two wires, the one to the left and the one in the middle, off of the lugs and solder them together. Wrap them with some electrical tape so the can't short on anything and you're good to go.

Thanks Tony, after I started the thread I figured that out and gave it a try. Seems to be a subtle difference, so I finally broke down and ordered treble bleed kits for each individual volume pot from the TV Jones website.
BTW, does it make any difference that I left the ground wires still soldered to the pot?

No Gary, the ground wires can stay on the pot. It does nothing. I ended up going with a single master volume w/treble bleed and a tone switch. It sounds good but I still think I like regular Filter'trons more. Since I got my Caddy Green Jet I'm in Dyna heaven and hardly touch my Power Jet.

Ok, I disconnected the master and added treble bleeds (from TV Jones) to each volume pot...now that's what I'm talkin' about! The PK now feels familiar (2 individual volumes) and sounds incredible whether at full tilt or with the guitar volume rolled back. Never should have hesitated to do this mod.
