Default Falcon Action With CSN

Saw Crosby, Stills & Nash last night. Pleasantly surprised after seeing them several years ago. This time around they were on their game, although showing their age.

Steve Stills played his White Falcon on about a half dozen tunes, some of which were originally acoustic songs (ie, "Helplessly Hoping"). Sounded great, looked fantastic. Such a cool, distinguished guitar...like guitar royalty. Couldn't see real clear, but it appeared as though he was playing through a couple Fender tweed amps of some sort.

The sideman guitarist (and I'm sorry I didn't catch his name...has played with Bruce Springsteen and others) played a Gretsch, but I'm not sure which model. Looked like a Tennessee Rose but I couldn't tell if the F holes were real or fake. The guitar looked fairly old. Great sound.

Two Gretsches blowing simultaneously through a serious sound system...very tasty.

Stills has sure been a great ambassador for the big-block Gretsch.

Saw CSN a couple years ago in St. Augustine. They were on their game that night as well.

Saw CSN in Melbourne, Oz, end of March. Lots of White falcon action. Great show, unfortunately Crosby was sick and couldn't sing that night
(he played guitar and sang harmony on one song). Nash came out before the show advised the situation and offered money back to anyone who wanted to leave. I don't think anyone did.

They said it was a unique show as it was the first time Stills has ever sung lead on Long Time Gone in their time together.
