Ngd g6121-1955
Hi all Gretchies, i got my first pro line Gretsch last friday, just had to get a camera from my mate to take a couple of pics to post on here.
It was a close contest between this and a Tennessee Rose with Hilo's.
(i wanted both!), but the 6121 won.

Congrats. Beautiful guitar. A 6121 is on my short list. I love the sound of the Dyna's

Thank's Tony, i had a shock when i first plugged it into my 15 watt laney lc15r.
The neck pickup was so boomy that it sounded like a bass. I noticed the magnets were all raised in the Dynas, so i lowered them and now it sounds super.

Hey Dazz, i'm already planning my trip to the shop to get the Tenny!
Just need to save a bit more cash and sell a few unwanted bits!
The new sofa will have to wait!

Hey Tara i'm in! thank's for letting me know.
Hi freespoken, i'm loving the tone of this axe. It responds to the slightest touch.
The Dyna's are like most folk on here have described, like Dearmond 2000s but much thicker and fuller sounding. The guitar takes some taming!
The neck feels so much nicer than my electromatics, i can feel the quality in this instrument in every way.

Congratulations on a great guitar! I have a 6130w which is essentially the same guitar and it's one of my all time favorites. Looks ultra cool, and the upholstery tacks on the side keep it from slippin' off yer leg! You're so right about the Dyna's, such a distinctive sound, and they really record great too!

Of course they sound and play great, but one of the most amazing things about getting a proline Gretsch is the workmanship. There is no slop, no imperfection anywhere! For something as personal and intimate as a guitar, that really adds to the pleasure of owning it. Enjoy twangin' on that thing!

NGD round 2!
I've now got my hands on a G6120dsw. 2004 model and it's amazing.
A lovely matching pair, and the shop i got it from took my G5120 as part exchange.
