Hi everyone! Newbie here - pic included
Hello gang. Just wanted to introduce myself to all of you.
I'm rather new to the Gretsch world. After playing Fenders and Gibsons for
40+ years, about six months ago I discoved how great Gretsch guitars are. Since then I've treated my self to some fairly nice gear.
First, I bought a 5120 and modded it with a rocking bar bridge, a Chet bar, a silver pickguard from Paul Setzer, GFS Nashville p'ups (tried TV Jones Classics but didn't care for them), and of course a pinup decal.
Next, I hopped on a ProJet. I modded it with GFS NYII p'ups. The NY's are very ballsy.
Third, I couldn't resist the red Hot Rod you see in the photo. Being that I'm never satisfied until I change something, I replaced the Filtertrons with a TV Jones Supertron in the bridge position and a Magnatron in the neck. This has now become my main gigging guitar.
And last, I got a little Electromatic 5222. And yes, I replaced the speaker with a Weber Alnico Signature 6 and changed the grill cloth.
This is all of the Gretsch gear I have for now. Since I suffer greatly from GAS I know I'll adding something in the future.

 I can't do that now....I tried.

Very nice collection! I started out with a G5120 myself and next was a candy red Setzer! I got GAS really bad and over the past 2 years have bought 8 Gretsch guitars. So I don't think you are finished yet!

Wow!
Very nice dlf, very nice. Good to have you here.
I like to go fast and I'm thinking I need a Hotrod.
But I keep reading about laxitives and sleeping pills, and I don't get it. Certainly you're not afraid of falling asleep on the crapper?
