Hey gang.....here's my first post!
Greetings guys.....
Just signed up for the site. I see some familiar faces here from the Gretschpages. It's good to find another place to discuss Gretsches and whatnot.
For those of you that don't know me, my name is Shawn. I live in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. I'm 39, and I'm a systems analyst in the IT department at our local newspaper, The Advocate.
I've been playing guitar since I was 12. Been playing a Gretsch since I bought a 6120-60 in 1999. I sold that one and got a 2003 6120-60 with all of the new changes. That bad boy now has a set of TV Classics in the neck, and a Classic Plus in the bridge. It's currently my only Gretsch, but I hope to get another one next year.
I have a bunch of other guitars by Fender, Revernend, G&L and a couple of other companies, but my 6120 seems to be getting most of the action lately.
I've been playing in an as yet unnamed rockabilly band for the last 3 months or so, and my Gretsch has aquitted itself wonderfully.
Looking forward to meeting some of ya'll, and discussing the most wonderful guitars in the world!

You can even post pictures here without useing photobucket. Which means lots and lots of pictures!

Howdy, I looked around that "other" Gretsch forum but I kept getting the proxy error. This place is easy to move around in and it looked (and is) very friendly.

Yes! I am happy about that! One other rule you should know about!
Do Not Post On A Scam Thread!!!! It make it hard for G-T to get rid of them. so if you see some scam postings either ignore it or go to The bottom of their page and hit the triangle with "!" in it. that will call Paul's attention.

Hey Brent! Nice to see you here as well.
Saw that avatar and knew it had to be you!
I actually knew about the site months ago, but kind of got busy and forgot to check it out. Hit it by accident today when I was trying to hit the Gretschpages.
I'm glad I stumbled upon it. Lot's of familiar "faces" here, and I like the looks of the site.
