Default The Defibulators (have a record/play a gretsch)

http://thedefibulators.com/

They are a Brooklyn based band. I see their tour bus parked around my neighborhood a lot. It's a converted ambulance. Good Country&Western/rock/bluegrass music.

Corn Money!

Turns out they are a pretty great band. The guitar players in the group share an old Gretsch with a dynasonic neck pickup. It's a neat instrument. Looks like it was a mid 50s sunburst corvette 6182 that was born a lefty and turned into a righty. There are two heay duty brass looking rivets plugging control holes mirroring the placement of the current knobs. Neat solution for an old guitar that you don't want to have plugged and refinished to fill unwanted holes.

Anyway, check out the music and catch them on tour. They sound good to me.

Looking at that guitar now… it's an old gretsch with a "miracle neck" right? Don't those have the very heavily shaped neck made to match the curve of your hand? Wouldn't that be awful to play if you spun it around from righty to lefty or vice versa? I'm guessing it was originally a righty, a lefty tried to make it work and it went back to being a righty.
