What's Your Drink Of Choice?
OK, I'm gonna do it, I'm Drinkin' and Postin'!!
My wife is a traveling nurse and she's not going to be home until 3 AM. It's 12:30 and I promised to have bacon and eggs waiting when she got home. In the meantime, I'm sitting back with an ice cold bevvy waitin' and chattin' about geetars and such.
At the moment I am drinking a concotion known as a leftover cocktail. It's what I could find in the liquor cabinet. It's basically a Margarita with a lot of soda water-Tequila, tons of triple sec, a little margarita mix, and a bunch of soda water..
Most of the summer I have been drinking either Vodka and sweet tea (an Ice Pick-so I call it) or a kinda Vodka press, being Vodka, soda, and either Mango,Guava or Peach Nectar.
I'm actually usually a beer (micros or PBR..no middle ground)or a Red Wine Guy, but Summer makes me want a light, sweet quaff.
What do you guys drink?

Back in the days when I was a drinker, my poison of choice was either "Maker's Mark" Kentucky Bourbon or "Crown Royal" blended Canadian whiskey on the rocks. Today though it's Diet Pepsi in the can.

Water. It's true.
I drink a lot of red wine. It's hard not to; living in California with all the great wineries around. Petite Syrah would be my favorite.
If I'm going to drink liquor, it's almost always Jack Daniels, served neat. But that's a very rare occasion.

Whew Man. I can't do So Co. When I was a teenager I drank a big bottle of it AND about half a bottle of Jager. You can guess the results of that one I am just now getting to where I can enjoy Jager again from time to time but So Co I just can't do. It's like drinking candy.

Well, I don't understand that 'enjoy' and 'jaeger' in the same sentence
It's like taking a shot of nyquil!

It's all the 30-somethings on here who drink. I love Jack straight, but it's too expensive for my summertime intake level, so most of the time it's Evan Williams. In mornings after a rough night, nothing beats a spicy bloody mary. When I go out and drink, I usually like to go someplace with a selection of premium bourbons. I especially like Baker's with a splash of water--107 proof. Dee-licious!
As far as moonshines go, I got ahold of some home-made Peruvian cane liquor when I was in the jungle in South America in 2002. Blecch! I would take like two sips on it, choke for 5 minutes and then pass out for two hours. That was a good vacation.
I also tried some weird home-made African beer called Shake-shake when I was in Zambia. It was undrinkable. I bought a bucket of it and couldn't even finish half a glass. It was thick like chocalate milk and tasted like milky beer vomit, all chunky and stuff. Terrible.

That African beer you were describing reminded me of Gallo beer in Guatemala. It really did taste like vomit. I really could not drink it. It was the only beer I saw down there even though I heat rumor of Gallo Dark Which was not what I wanted: a stronger thicker vomit flavor....ewww!! I had to live on Cuba Libres while I was there
