Rule #2: No sound clip - didn't happen!
Hey, let's start recording or making video clips, everyone!
It would be nice to hear all those cool Gretches thru different amps.
The pictures are often not enough.
And it's about the sound after all, isn't it?

I think so. Use this link, if you want to hear some before and after clips of my 5120, going from the stock Gretschbuckers to some GFS Surf 90s:
http://www.soundclick.com/bands/defa...&content=music
Not offered as an example of music -- rather, an example of how a Gretsch can sound, and the difference a pickup change can make!

All my 5127 videos are in my YouTube Gretsch Playlist although I think most of these have been linked here before.

My videos are all here (even though I only put in a personal appearance in one of them!)
YOUTUBE
Mostly played on a 5122 with TV Jones Classics; a Double Anniversary with HiLoTrons; an Epiphone Casino and a Yamaha electric nylon string guitar; backings mainly by Band In A Box, all recorded in Garageband on a Mac.

Good stuff guys. Here's my contribution. My New Year's resolution was to finally learn to finger pick. Still got a long ways to go but i feel like i'm making some progress. Here's me doin I'll Fly Away. Figured it was an easy one to start with.
Guitar: 5129 DeArmond single coils, brass nut, Bigsby aluminum bridge
Effects: Delay and a lil compression from a Digitech RP155
Amp: Carvin Vintage Series 50 with Hasserl mods
Oh yea and i didn't cut the end off the recording properly, this audio engineering stuff is still real new to me

A very cool idea 6stings.....except I for one wouldn't have a clue how to post sound clips into a post. I have enough trouble with photos that seem to come out all small
So for those of us not gifted in the art, would someone please post a step by step, hold my hand, left foot right foot walk through of how to do it.
Cheers'm dears

6sting works for central intelligence, this is purely a ploy for facial recognition and data mining.
I'll throw him off with clever disinformation

Good stuff Boots. The engineering thing can take some time and some folks never really do come to grips with it. Stay on it and it will become second nature.

Smart thing to bump this now. I guess a lot of people got some new gear from santa. I got a Greta amp but nothing to record with. But if I get my hands on some quality equipment for recording I will try to do my best.

It's bee a few months and I still have not gotten one video onto you tube or anywhere. I need to hire a sound tech. First I need to get rich. Then hire a tech and a lawyer. Then post some clips. Ok. My New Years resolution is to get a video from the iPhone, assuming it doesn't auto correct the video and change it into a food show, like it does with auto spell, then post it on you tube for all you guys and gals to see I am in fact real. Or as real as a tech can make me. I don't believe most of what's on tv, and I a fairly certain the jersey shore people are like the Disney robotics.

I'm way to stupid to know how to post video's. Hopefully in the new year I can hook up with someone who can get me started - at least.
