Ja, I'm looking forward to see what mods it has myself! cool interview. now if gretsch would only make a longer scale neck .. and all I need is this chair.

Hmm a electromatic is 22 frets right? something with 2 extra frets would be nice. oh and a u-bar instead of the butter knife. one piece steel or titanium bridge, bracing, strap pins that don't strip out after 20 gigs into your summer tour. then of course p-90's or tv jones would be much appreciated.( I know where this is going) =).
Is there a connection with different tonal characteristics with 22-24 and 26 fret necks and the pickup's ?

Never did care much for those guys. Nice guitar, though.

Gretsch offers 24.75" or 25.5" scale necks. I think all the White Falcons come with the longer 25.5. I know the White Falcon I G7593 does which is the model that Duffy picked up and recorded the first album with.
As for putting 24 frets on a hollowbody, its not really feasible. You wouldn't be able to reach them due to the body size. I can barely reach the 19th and 20th fret with any control.
I could see them putting 24 frets on a jet but even then the cut away isn't deep enough, its still a reach for those last few. However, my holy grail of customs for Gretsch USA would be a Sparkle Green Penguin with 24 frets and filtertrons with maybe a slightly deeper cut so you can reach those high frets. I want a friggin shred monster!
I bought a BC Rich Warbeast specifically for 24 frets and neck-thru construction. Its AWESOME.
