Mine comes from Luke chapter 13, verse 3. Or one could take it to mean forsake all but Gretsch!

First initial, last name. And a "stock" photo of the Gretsch guitar that I own.

Doesn't get any simpler than that...

I am a licensed Tin Whacker, or sheet metal mechanic in some circles.

my daughter called the 6120 'Daddy's funny orange guitar". Funny because of the bigsby and her obsession at the time to bend it whilst I was playing.

In my case the family name actually was Synchrosonic but shortened to Synchro by in immigration officer on Ellis Island.

Used this handle when I used to play video games with my kid. The avatar is a collage/doodle I did sometime back. A bit of pugnacious whimsy. Eyes from Prince & Ren, Letterman's nose & Alfred E. Neuman's mouth.

I'm super slow but I get it wired.. or I AM wired on coffee, in this
picture I just finished a life changing conversation with gretsch
hero Duane Eddy and gave him an atomic brain as a backup to
his dynobrain.

I once had a web site design company, long while ago, called Cyber Magik. Got fairly well known for the moniker and email id I used back then in certain circles. Just kept using it, cybermgk.

Well, it's my real name. One of the few guys on one of the first forums I joined used his real name. He was undoubtedly the most trustworthy and level headed guy there, so I followed his example here.

The Gretsch corporate site, at one time, solicited pictures of people playing their Gretsches. So I took some, modeled on Chet Atkins. I decided it was a bit vain so I didn't put it there. But, a geezer leaning over a big jazzbox is probably me, so I put that as my avatar.

My username is from my company name: AUdio Design, Engineering, and Product Training.
My avatar is my soulmate dog Baci. We had a cross-species platonic love affair for the brief 13 years of her life. She lives on in my avatar and my heart.

I am a doctor and as a kid I was called Milk Truck since I was not a speedy runner. (I'm still not. Funny, you don't get faster as you get older.) A few years ago I attended seminary and might have been Reverend Dr Milktruck. My avatar is the headstock of my 59 Rambler, with the AMC Rambler decal, made by Paul Setzer. The Rambler is the greatest little guitar Gretsch made. (My avatar on the other Gretsch site is a photo of blues singer Lil Greenwood playing a Rambler, taken from Ebony magazine in 1960.)

Fight Like A Brave is a tune on The Red Hot Chili Peppers' 3rd album Uplift Mofo Party Plan. I've been using Likeabrave as a cyber-ID since Compuserve on Windows 3.1. I am still a huge fan of everything RHCP recorded up to and including Blood, Sugar, Sex Magic.
My avatar is my Dyna Falcon's head stock.

My name came from my propensity so set my boots on fire while i was working. Sometimes when welding metal i get in too much of a hurry and instead of reaching for a clamp i just stand on the piece to hold it in place. This has resulted in setting the rubber soles on fire more than once. When people ask why i do it, i tell em that's what boots are for, workin. Not like i'm setting my wingtips on fire.

Back a few years before I retired, the urge came to me to become a Lake Superior Charter Captain. Had to come up with a name for the twin engine 30 footer with a flybridge. Retirement from my full time job was on my mind at that time so I decided that operating a charter fishing boat could hardly be considered "Work". Well, if I was to retire after getting into the charter fishing business it would seem I would not be "Working". Kind of did a play on the words and came up with "workknot" the "Knot" was in the boatings sense and I would hopefully not be working for someone else. Named the boat "Workknot" and it has stuck with me. My nickname "Pop's" came from the fishing crews as they usually respected me as there pop's which I felt was very respectful. Did the charter fishing for about 12 years and now of course I am not working for someone else while putting out some very nice guitar bridges.
Hope I did not toot my own horn too much.
Pop's

Straightforward but reasonable thought out... People call me Ric, Rich or Rico, and back when I spent my nights out in the poolhall, I had an uncanny but unintentional nack for ricocheting of the edges(****) of the pocket, it's also a reference to a favourite Deep Purple song called "Child in time" which has the line "wait for the ricochet"...
