Juke cuts hair with one hand and posts with the other. That's why you get a haircut like this!

Thanks guys. I did have to work today, oh well. I'll fire up the Anniversary tonight and fumble through a twangy, lonely version of "happy birthday to me".
No new guitars this year. What do I need a new guitar for anyway… I've got a Gretsch!

Well, turns out my wife got me two guitar related gifts. First, the amazing Tony Bacon 50 Years of Gretsch Electrics book. I've admired the Tony Bacon "Gretsch book" in a used shop, but it was 60 dollars. This new edition is even nicer and I think it includes everything that was in the out of print edition. Great photos, great ephemera.
The other guitar related gift was a tiny 1:6 scale replica of a Fender Jazz Bass. It was actually a surprise toy in a box that comes unmarked with one of 13 fender guitars inside.
I'm still amazed at the detail on these things. Very fun little toy. Now Fender should license some Gretsch models.
