whew !!! that was a scary thought. I thought that someone had started playing banjo.

where does Gibson get these prices ? the Robot guitar didn't do too well. and I don't think that their last venture has gone over very well. what was it the "Dusk Tiger" or something similar ? and now a $50,000 banjo. I don't think that even Earl himself could afford one. anyway, the price is distinguishing. not everyone will be able to get one.

It's like GC & Gibson got together, smoked some ganja, and came up with the brilliant idea to play an April Fool's joke on us in the middle of July.. lol

Tara, now don't be showing off your family photos. I hardly think this is the site for that.

I'm basically laughing too hard to type much.

Great $h*t! The reviews are fantastic.

Poor, poor Gibson. Can anything be done to save them? Does anyone really want to?

Hey, cynics, it comes with a whole freakin' case. So knock it off.

Let's face it, we'd all buy one if we had the money and the stupidity.

I was actually looking into a 6 string banjo for years. I might need to just get one now.

Decent pricing, fun to play. great quality.

A long time bandmate of mine played banjo for a couple of years with Bill Monroe and a couple more with Buck White. He recorded three albums with Monroe and a half dozen or so with Kenny Baker, Monroe's long-time fiddler. He would be the first to tell you that few professional banjo players could ever afford such a thing.

My banjos are all put back as investments, but the RB-75 BlackJack J.D. Crowe is gold plated seems they could have done that for Earl. Yes, he IS the banjo man, I heard Bella
live and sold all my Deerings there is one still on Elderly.

I think that's the best part of it - the irony that maybe .0001% of their target market can afford to buy it..

They really flew off the handle with this one - they must have been smoking crack or something

Hilarious!

"I bought this baby straight cash about a month ago and boy i gotta say, it has filled all my reggaeton needs. I have never been able to cover Daddy Yankee until now. i would say if you gotta few bucks lying around and you need a banjo to play some rap, hip-hop or reggaeton, this is the banjo for any beginner."

Tara, the question that rises here is... HOW ON EARTH DID YOU RUN INTO THIS?! seriously!
