Apparently NOT.
It was the most watched TV event in history. Top rated telecast EVER.

What the?
It was a great game!
Here in the UK, kickoff was 11:30 pm --and ended 3:30 am!
Pete & Roger did just fine (great amps!). Hey..remember when the Who (with Entwhistle) did the 911 benefit concert?

A guy that works in our office did not know Sunday was super bowl. He's English and has lived here for over 8 years. How does one stay that insulated from major events in his residential country. He's applying for his green card, I may sabotage it. Not really. I asked him how he can live in this country and not know. He didn't answer. Not surprising he's just as ill informed about other vastly more important issues.

Seeing Pete play with a couple of Vibro King Blonde stacks made me want to bring mine out.

That's a bit harsh. I wish I could be like him. I think my life would be a little bit richer had I been in a position to NOT know the super bowl was taking place.
Think about it. That means no TV, Radio, Newspaper, Internet exposure. No media.
Utopia.

Its not about media and technology and not about the super bowl. It goes to being engaged and interested in the place you live which this person is not. Of course, its his prerogative, but it befuddles me.

Hey JeffO without the media you couldn't get your daily dose of jackweed teabaggin propaganda from Fox fairly unbalanced news[they call that news?], Ha! hee hee! what's a guy gotta do to pick a fight around here!
I am no football fan, but I do enjoy the funny commercials! The Doritos ads were pretty funny and the Bettie White Snickers add was a hoot! Woot!

Well, if you REALLY want to start a fight, talking about Fox News won't do it.
It's now the #1 Rated News Channel on cable. The silent majority has returned.
Of course, I only get to watch it when I'm on the road since we don't have cable at my house.

I wish I had known. I fault only myself for not paying more attention. Living in Japan its real easy to miss stuff like that. Its just not that popular. Japanese TV is as different as Japanese language is from English. The whole Toyota brakes thing?? I wouldnt have known about it if someone from home hadnt been all over it updating me. Media here isnt so quick to bad mouth the big T.
So... if you got to sit down and watch it. Fire up some cold beer and hot wings... maybe some quesadilla nachos with that... mmmmmmmmm! Its good to live in the US isnt it?

Buhahahahah!! Wonder why Fox is number one???Humm let me guess could it be that the number one cable provider is Comcast, which by the way is a privately owned and incredibly conservative outfit, and offers only Fox news with its basic cable package??? To get any other news channel you have to pay more! Hummmm?? Or maybe people just can't wait to see what Heir Beck will say next??? I knew I could get yer goat with that one!! I just love teasin you Jeff!! So you comin to the jam so we can argue or what???

Have no idea what you're talking about, FraidyKat. I don't even have cable, and couldn't care less about ratings. I'm just stating facts.
I was hoping to goad someone from the other (L) side into fighting with you.

Farscape. I have all 88 episodes plus the four hour finale. Great show. I did not watch the game. Played guitar for awhile and then watched the movie "Assignation Tango".

It was a great second half. Too bad the Vikings weren't there but it was nice to see the Saints win.

Cable??? WT* is cable???
Where I live, out in the woods, ain't no cable.
I have a couple of nice flat-screen HD TVs hooked up to rabbit ears!
I still get about 30 channels, all the Canadian networks plus all the US stuff.
No HBO, CNN or any "cable" channels, but still waaaay too much stuff to watch.

When I called to cancel the cable, the conversation went something like this:
--Are you dissatisfied with the service, sir?
--I sure am!
--What's the problem?
--Well....you know all those shows that come in on all those channels?
--Yes, sir.
--Well...They all SUCK!

When I shut mine off I had a similar conversation and then they asked me if I wanted to pay them $9 a month to keep my account going without any programming service. Now think of the logic; if I came to them as a new customer they would give me a free DVR and a bargain on my service for the first year. As an existing customer they would charge me for a DVR, I got no breaks on price and when I wanted to cancel my service they offered to charge me $9 per month for nothing. I wonder how long it would have been before they raised the price on nothing.

If you'd bought another K-car you could have joined them together to make a 4-wheel drive.

Tried that, with 'em facing opposite directions, so I wouldn't hafta
put it in reverse.
I fergot one of 'em hadda be in reverse and it ripped in two ...
Wife ended up in North Bay, I ended up in Lake Woebegone.
BTW, if you wanna see a truly bizarre Red Green thread search for "Band Fashion" in Fred's Barcalounge.

When I'm on the road, the first thing I do when I get in the hotel room is turn the TV on Fox News. The only thing good about cable TV.
