Default Posting sound clips

Is that possible? I've got some tracks (mp3s) that my teacher made for me. They're only short original tracks because they're for teaching and nothing copyrighted. I'm learning a fingerpicking song he wrote called "Calibration". I could tell you about it, and even post the TAB, but it'sot until you hear it that you begin to grasp how difficult the song is - and what a great songwriter my teacher is.

I'd really like to share that instumental with everyone here on the forum, but as I said, it's audio only. So, is it possible and permitted to embed audio clips? Also, if so, where's the best place (file host)to post them to?

BTW, the instrumental is called "Calibration" becuase it's what Micheal Young plays to get used to a different or new guitar. You can check out his bluegrass band "Wires & Wood" here:

WE do not host MP3 files on Gretsch-Talk. You're welcome to host them on some other webhost and use our BB Code to embed them in posts here.

There's too much legal liability for copyright violations is why we refuse to host such files.

Thanks for the info, and thanks Tara for the link. I'm only talking about two small tracks - one is 1:07 secs and the other is 50 secs long. Wait till you hear "OK Dave, this is normal speed..."

Don't need to waorry about copyright. This is just a couple of personally recorded tracks. Once again, thanks.

Man the SoundCloud site is hard to use! It seem to be totally geared towards Facebook.
Any clues as to how to get a link to the actual tracks?

There's a link below each soundfile you upload there, paste that in here & we'll be able to access it
You may be able to embed them in a post here using BB code.

It's one of the better audio sharing sites I've found! it seems to be taking off around the web..

SoundCloud is having troubles and I keep getting these "Oops" error messages. So I've decided to use 4shared.com, but thanks Tara. You'll be able to listed to the clips in the Songs in the key of Gretsch forum.

I have used Soundclick for about 3 years now....0 problems. Soundcloud was difficult at best. All you do at Sounclick is cut, copy and paste the songs url in a response block on your forum and your done.

http://www.soundclick.com/bands/defa...&content=music

This link is my song page...you can just do individule songs of course. I guess if I was selling songs this would be shameless self promotion.
