Default New pickups in my 5120

So I finally got around to installing the GFS retrotron "hot liverpools" in my 5120 yesterday. I've had them for a few months but between work, school, homework, redoing our backyard, and the wife I've had no time to get them put in. I've just been using my free time to play the damn thing. But anyways they sound a lot better than the gretschbuckers. These pickups combined the the stainless steel compton with tone chamber in put on it a few months ago have brought the guitar to life. There is a noticable difference when i'm playing on the "vintage" distortion channel of my amp, but the difference in the clean channel is simply amazing. It sounds worlds better. Just thought I'd spread the word on these pickups, at roughly $70 a set they're worth checking out.

Glad to hear you like the new set up. The right pickups and bridge can really bring a guitar to life. I have a couple of 5120's with Surf 90's and Tru Arc bridges. One is a stainless steel, and the combination of twang and sustain is in the same ballpark with my 6120DSW.
