5422 Cadillac Green - in stock at MF
I just called Musicians Friend.
They list the 5422T , no image.
The operator said: it's Cadillac Green.. and it's in stock. ready to ship.
It's also listed as an " FSR " .. so who knows - if when it's gone.. it's gone ( in this color... )
With this weekends 15% off coupon code - that puts it at $679
Help me.. I can't buy another guitar. . and I'm really waiting to see the red. .but Cadillac Green... ooohh..

Hey I called guitar center for that same 15% off deal, but they said fender/gretsch is one of the company's that declined to participate in the sale.. I asked for a list, they sent me to a website that listed almost every company under the sun that declined to participate.... So stupid..

That's pretty bogus.. and MF is the only place that appears to have this new model < for now anyway > .
It does relieve the pressure for me to pull the trigger ... as the discount price and the awesomeness of a 5422 in Cadillac Green was nearly too much to withstand.
now the conversation can resume.. that even at $799.. this sounds like the new regime of high quality Electromatics is upon us.
Cadillac Green is an incredibly nice color.. I hope it's not a special run that will not be available later

Musicians Friend, Music 123 and Guitar Center, all have the FSR G5420 and G5422 in Cadillac Green. As for the 15 % discount on these guitars not being honored by GC, I'll suggest, based on recent experience, that you try one of the other two.

They're all owned by the same company - Bain Capital, aka Mitt Romney's former company.

One of the GDP members jacodiego created this CGI rendition of what the new G5420 could look like. I believe it's 100% accurate.

That mock up looks great. From the looks of the white & gold double cut and all the specs I've read, if the final product comes out looking that good, I may have to get my hands on one. Color me excited.

It should bear a resemblance to the late 60s Viking, no?

I was with my daughter at a local supermarket and saw a Cadillac in the exact Gretsch color but I think the car color was first.
I have a magazine called 'Guitar Magazine' published in England.
They did a Gretsch edition in August 2001. It has a Caddy Green Country Club as it was called at the time on the cover.
This magazine is probably a collector's itrm by now. I wonder if it is still in publication?

Their sales have never covered any of the things I've been looking for. I can't really think of anything that could possibly be included.
MF won't charge sales tax here in MN, but GCenter will...
